This space functions as a nontraditional classroom on one side of the room and a lab space on the other where practical work with children occurs. The class sizes were increasing from 35 to 45+. The large room (1532 sqft) was divided equally into two spaces with a defined boundary created by the existing carpet on the lecture side of the room. The client wanted to keep the spaces division but have the option for flexibility and enough seating for the larger class sizes without loosing space on the practical side of the room.
